Lists of lists

(Awww...enjoying our alone time)
(kukabura)
(A crocodile burger...tasted like a turkey burger)
(sun coming up, view from our hotel)
(A very preggo me in front of the Great Barron Falls)
After going to my appt. on Tuesday, two things became abundantly clear...

1) I only have a "guarantee" of two weeks, after that it is a guessing game of when this baby makes his debut
2)and I have a ton to do!!

I am a total list maker. So here is what I am trying to do. One of the reasons I love blogs is the interaction. You can get ideas that you wouldn't have thought of, or maybe gentle reminders. Feel free to share. No, let me rephrase, please share. I know this is my 5th time around...but you can always learn more! Here goes:

-a list of what to bring to the hospital. I have never successfully packed a bag for the hospital. I have forgotten everything from changes of clothes to a contact case.- I don't know what all this hospital provides so...

-a list of what to bring for Mason. Yet another bag I have never been successful at packing fully. Forgetting items.

-a meal planish for the days and weeks after he comes home. Do I plan on making 5 course meals every night? Ha! I am thinking of survival mode here. What things to stock up on so that Ben can easily pull things from the freezer/fridge/pantry and make something. Any ideas? Foods that freeze well? Anything that saved you after just having a baby?

-along with that is a list of other things to help us get by. For example, paper plates, cups, etc. Dishes are my most hated chore so I want to make my life easier.

-packing bags for the kids to stay over somewhere (if in the middle of the night)

-making arrangements for babysitting, and lots of back ups (making sure to get cell numbers)

I am sure there are tons of others...but this is what is on my mind right now. Ideas and advice gladly appreciated!

And since I have yet to post about my trip, here are some pics. Although if you are on Facebook with me, you have probably seen them!

Oh how I love your pictures from Australia....

Okay, I will email you some recipes that people made for me when the twins came home. My ward loaded up my freezer and it made my life(that portion anyway) so much easier! After we ate everything, I begged for recipes because it was all so good!

I have never been great at packing my bag for the hospital either. Because I have c-sections I am always there for awhile so that gives Travis plenty of time to run home and get what I need. Good luck girl! Sending lots and lots of hugs your way!!

It's been 27 years, but I don't remember it being so complicated because I have never been that organized. Ben is really good at barbecuing, mac & cheese, etc. I like to have staufers family size frozen lasagna, then all you have to do is add a veggie and you have dinner. Frozen pizzas are easy. Ben used to like a casserole with browned ground beef mixed with catsup on the bottom, then a layer of green beans topped with mashed potatoes and shredded cheese on top of that. Bake in the oven. I think it is pretty good and very very easy. You could make up several and put them in the freezer. Tuna casserole made with cream of mushroom soup and noodles is another easy one. Spaghetti freezes well. We are really hoping that Mason bucks the trend and waits til 37 weeks.

Have you had a baby shower? I know it is #5 right. Make one of your local friends throw you an impromtude shower. One of my friends said "Every baby is reason for celebration" so true. And instead of baby stuff do a freezer meal shower. A girl here did that I it was fantastic. And then you have your meals set for after the baby for a week or so. Just a thought.

Becky,I am having a shower. But...it's tomorrow! So it is a little late. I have heard of people doing that and always thought it was such a good idea!
