Those are the new names of my children! All 3 of the boys coughed all night and had runny noses as well. I feel so bad when they can't sleep because of being stuffed up. But what can you do? During the day they do pretty well, but I know they did not get very much sleep last night. Neither did I! Harmony's new name is tired. When she is tired she is crabby and you better watch out! Yesterday she was "little Miss Popularity". She went to the primary activity at church, came home and went to a movie with one of her best friends, got home at about 3:00 and then left at 3:30 for a playdate with another friend. When she got back, she went straight up to her room and said, " I don't need any stories tonight Mom, I am just going to go to bed." So today we are taking a day off from church and those kids are going to take big naps. And so am I!
Our lives are so busy all of the time. This week, there is cheerleading, scrapbook night, parent teacher conferences, play dates, going to the gym and many other things, and that is on top of the "regular stuff".
Ben has been gone for over a month. I can't believe it. There are times when it feels like he has been gone forever. When I just want him back with us, even if it is just for a little while. When he was in Indiana, I ended up being able to see him once a month. It would be nice for it to be like that now. It is a lot easier to get through a month than looking at 5 more months. But I think we are hanging in there. Some of his friends said that the first month is the hardest. Now that it is over, we just have to keep going.
Hmmm, I think that is it for now...
"The only way to get through life is to laugh your way through it. You either have to laugh or cry. I prefer to laugh. Crying gives me a headache."

1/26/06-Thursday
Well, Ben has been gone for a month today. Although, if you want to be technical, he has really been gone since the first of November. Just a couple of vactions in there. He seems to be well. I know that he is somewhat bored, and there isn't as much going on there as there was in the ROICC office. He told me that one of the soldiers from the Afghanistan Army told him that he couldn't believe that he had so many kids when he was so young. Ecspecially with only one wife! LOL!
Harmony started cheerleading last night. She hasn't learned any cheers yet, just practiced moves. There is a crazy schedule for the gym, so she actually has practice 2 nights a week for the first two weeks. Then it will just move to 1. I am really lucky because my friend and neighbor, has said that she will keep the boys for me on Thursday nights. So I have a little break during the week. Harmony is excited because she got a pink and black t-shirt and matching pom poms and hair ribbons.
Ethan said today that he absolutely doesn't like girls. He doesn't want to get married because he would have to kiss a girl. I don't know where he gets all of this. Maybe at school? Anyway, he is pretty funny. He seems to be handling Ben being gone just fine. Although every once in a while he will ask me things like, " is it summer yet?" "is Daddy ever coming back" and things like that.
Connor has a cold and is pretty unhappy. He has a thing against throwing kleenex away apparently. I keep finding a pile of used tissue right by the box. It is gross. I don't know why he won't throw them away. He was bummed when I told him that he wasn't going to school tomorrow because he has a cold. Oh well, he will live. I have a parent teacher conference for him on Thursday so it will be nice to see where he is at.
Ivan, Ivan, Ivan. He is such a QT. He has another tooth. So that makes 7 total. He is a little lopsided but it is cute. I recently found him half way up our stairs. He has learned to climb stairs before he can even walk. He is at kind of an annoying stage. Anything that is in a drawer has to come out, even if it was just put there. He also loves to take everything out of the garbage can, much to my dismay. He loves going to the day care at the Y because he just gets loved on the whole time.
Until next time...

Out of the mouth of babes
Ethan got some really cute blue pj's from his Grandma Turner for Christmas. He has another pair that have balls on them but I think he looks the best in the blue ones. So he comes into my room, ready for night time stories, and says "Mommy, I don't like these. They make me look girly!" I said, " no they don't Ethan. You look so handsome in your jammies." "No, Mommy not my jammies, these." He pulls on his eyelashes. "These are too long and I look girly. I wan them off!" I tried to explain that both boys and girls have eye lashes but he wasn't listening. He is not sure about his eyebrows either!

First post
Well, I have started a blog. This year, with Ben being gone, and just a personal goal of mine, is to write in a journal. I am online so much so I thought that this would be a great place to do it. I have also been so bad about writing family emails that I thought it would be nice for people to see pictures and read what the kids have been up too. So I hope that everyone enjoys reading up on our life. Sometimes it is extremely boring and at others there is so much going on I can hardly keep track of it all! Feel free to leave comments if you would like!
